All Aboard!

Saturday morning, bright and early! Left hotel at Victoria Station and had a very short walk over to bus (coach station). Next a 1.5 hour ride down to Dover- our port of departure. As you can see, we still have 1 large rolling suitcase and each a backpack. We are limiting our souvenirs- especially after Ekelund weaving factory outlet! (we ate all of our Danish souvenirs- cheese, pastries, etc)
Dover cruise terminal. A short wait. Our ship, ms
Ryndam docked right in front of the "white cliffs of Dover" so quite a view from this port.
obviously not a strenuous trip to the terminal, Mike relaxing before we board -about 11:00 am (Saturday)

Roxanne going up the gangway, not a problem since it is all enclosed and almost at ground level (or it seemed, not a fan of heights)
It was about 14C or 54F so the sweatshirt was great- although it has Goteborg Sweden on the front so hoping the Norwegians are Ok with that!
our stateroom. Really liked the space and accommodations
-room to sit-a couch and table so we had space to enjoy our wine- we bought several bottles to try in London- and then brought aboard with us to have in the room.
So the first thing we did was to go to the top deck and take care of our feet! we put some new pictures on the iPad. Hopefully we will find a sim card for Norway. (each country requires a different sim card to connect our iPad to the Internet) then we can update and send more blogs.
Mike sorting thru pictures. We will definitely have some editing to do and photo deleting. This is from the top deck (Crows Nest/12th level). Nice enclosed area and a great view in the front of the ship.
this cruise had formal night. Suits/tux required if you want to eat in the dining room restaurants. The first day at sea (Sunday) was formal for dinner. mike set up the tripod and we took our own picture from our deck level- main level, deck 5. The restaurants were mainly on level 11 and 7/8.
FYI-we brought along our dancing shoes-which we are wearing since the camera doesn't show the floor) and we went dancing after dinner.
